Festive Cheer Awaits: Winter Fayre Magic is Just Around the Corner! We are now in the final phase leading up to the Winter Fayre, with only a couple of days left.
Get ready to experience a magical wonderland filled with festive cheer, twinkling lights, delicious treats, and fun activities for the entire family. T
o help you get into the magical mood, we have launched an online advent calendar on Instagram, which will run until December 25th. Check it out!
Dragon’s den: The Friends proudly sponsored the four winning Dragon's Den competition prizes. The competition had various exciting ideas, ranging from a spade that can cut through tough roots for gardening to a transportable locker for use in school and even a headset for a VR set with an advertisement and four prototypes.
The Friends met with other parents who helped us plan the Winter Fayre. Deb joined and kindly helped us with designing the fantastic poster for this year's Fayre again, and Aurelie, one of our new parents who is helping us with everything around the Arts and crafts needed to decorate the Fayre and also providing ideas for our kids Arts & Crafts activity during the Fayre.

Halloween Spooktacular and Fireworks Extravaganza: We hope your children had a wonderful time at our Halloween party just before half-term! The costumes were spooktacular, the cakes were ghoulishly delicious and the atmosphere was electrifying.
And what a night it was for our first-ever school fireworks display! The sky was ablaze with colour as the fireworks burst forth, creating a breathtaking spectacle that left everyone in awe. It was a truly magical moment to restart school this week.
The excitement doesn't end there! Just four weeks away, on December 10th, we'll be hosting our annual Winter Fayre. Prepare to be enchanted by a wonderland of festive cheer, with twinkling lights, delectable treats, and a host of fun activities for the whole family.

As we wrap up our first full week back at school, we're excited to share a list of important dates and events for your diary:
The Friends of HCH would like to say a big thank you to all of you for making the summer fete an amazing success. This kind of event would not be possible without volunteers so we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you who volunteered to help out on the day.
We are thrilled to welcome you all to our upcoming Summer Fête this Sunday, from 12 pm to 4pm.
We are now in the final stages of the planning process
Volunteers: Your class rep will reach out to you to ask for support to cover the allocated areas chosen by each class, volunteers can easily sign up for the preferred time slot.
We had a fabulous second event with 40 attendees last night. Apologies for all last-minute requests to attend, but as our lovely local Cheesemonger Paul was involved, we had to work with a hard cut-off for the food.
The evening was truly magnificent, and we all thoroughly enjoyed participating in Baptiste and Anthony's expertly presented French quiz. Merci beaucoup à tous et à l'année prochaine!
We are excited to celebrate La Semaine de la Francophonie next week. There will be various activities for all our children throughout the week and our Cheese & Wine evening for all over 18+ on May 25th. Doors open: 6:30 pm.
Thank you to all the students who participated in our Easter Reading Challenge! We are so excited to have been able to secure so many wonderful books for all year groups at the school.
Where do the funds go? All proceeds the Friends are making from any of these fundraisers will go 100% towards educational and social programmes throughout the school year (such as us co-sponsoring the La semaine de la Francophonie).
Completed Easter Reading Challenge Fundraiser (Y1-Y6): TOTAL FUNDRAISING £75 (special thanks go to Y1 and Y6) - These funds will be used solely to purchase new books for our school library.
Easter Egg Hunt: Y1-Y4 loved our traditional Easter Egg Hunt on the last day of school!
Charity & Our Code of Conduct: To ensure we are working in compliance with our code of conduct and hold ourselves accountable, we have implemented the Charity Governance Code
