The Hampton Court House Community Garden is a vibrant, dynamic space where nature and education intertwine beautifully. Nestled within our stunning parkland, the Community Garden and the Little Garden, also known as ‘Dee’s Garden,’ have become cherished assets of our school. Thanks to the dedication of our community members, these gardens boast perennial shrubs, fruit trees, and raised beds teeming with fruits and vegetables. Dee’s Garden even features a wildflower meadow, attracting pollinators and providing a serene space for exploration and learning.
Our Community Garden is a sanctuary for learning and relaxation, featuring:
Our community garden has grown tremendously over the past two years, evolving from a small project to achieving the prestigious RHS Level 5 School Garden Award. By adopting sustainable, no-dig gardening methods, we've created a space that not only supports wildlife but also serves as an outdoor classroom and peaceful retreat for students.
In addition, we've developed a second garden specifically for our Early Years students. Despite some challenges, this garden has flourished with fruit trees, pollinator-friendly plants, and a vibrant wildflower patch. We’re proud to have reached the highest level of recognition from the RHS, reflecting our commitment to environmental stewardship and hands-on learning.
